Internship Purpose:
The goal of SunSource's Internship Program is to provide 10 – 12 weeks of “real world” experience for students interested in a career in industrial distribution. As an intern with SunSource, your experience as an Engineering student will be utilized as you are integrated into teams and given tasks to accomplish working side by side with the best of SunSource’s Engineering, Outside Sales/Account Managers, Customer Service, Purchasing, Service & Repair, and Warehouse departments. In addition, each intern is assigned a mentor for the 10 - 12 week training plan to offer guidance on project tasks and responsibilities. You will have an opportunity to build upon what you have learned through your course work by completing a project at the end of your internship. Specific objectives are:
-Exposure to functional elements of SunSource: Warehouse, Shipping, Purchasing, Service & Repair
-Exposure to basic selling skills: Inside sales, Outbound calls, Sales ride-alongs
-Exposure to fluid power technologies: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Automation, Filtration

Skills/Qualifications:
-Candidates should be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year
-Candidates should be working toward a degree in Mechanical Engineering or another fluid power related degree
-Related internship or co-op experience is preferred
-Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills; be self-motivated and ambitious
-Interested in technical sales is preferred
