Industrial Internships

How Are Positions Filled?

  • The CCEFP will reach out to engineering schools across the country in promoting the 2008 summer internship program and all posted internship positions beginning in the fall of 2007.

  • Your company will view the pool of applicants at a secure section of the Center's website.

  • Your company can contact
    applicants who appear to
    meet the requirements
    of the position(s)
    you are offering.
    (If you wish, the
    Center can help you
    identify potential
    candidates.)

  • Once you have identified
    potential candidates, you
will want to conduct a resume and GPA review.

  • And, you will also want to conduct interviews, either in person or by video-conference (the CCEFP can facilitate video-conference interviews for you). Through an interview, you will be able to understand the intern's knowledge, skills and personal traits, and the student will be able to become familiar with your company.

  • In the end, the decision will be yours. Your company will determine who would work best in your company and your company will make the internship offer.
