Summer internships for undergraduates, facilitated by the Engineering Research Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power (CCEFP), enable engineering students to learn about hydraulic and pneumatic principles and applications as they gain real world experiences in the fluid power industry. Hosting companies benefit, too—from the infusion of enthusiasm and fresh ideas generated by these students, and from opportunities to introduce young engineers to the possibility of employment in the fluid power industry following graduation.
Recognizing these mutual benefits, the CCEFP’s 2009 fluid power intern program for undergraduates facilitates the hiring of engineering students at schools nationwide by the Center’s industry partners—those with established internship programs and those who are ready to launch them. |
