Industry Outreach
The CCEFP goes to IFPE 2011
Through its participation in IFPE (March 2011), the leading international exposition and technical conference dedicated to the integration of fluid power with other technologies for power transmission and motion control applications, the CCEFP had unprecedented opportunities to share research findings with engineers working in the fluid power industry and its end use markets. IFPE together with co-located CONEXPO-CON/AGG hosted more than 120,000 visitors. The IFPE show floor featured displays by more than 400 exhibitors who utilized 140,000 square feet of exhibit space. Visit www.ifpe.com for further details.
- The CCEFP played a central role in planning this triennial event, expanding the offerings of the National Conference on Fluid Power (NCFP) and organizing four short courses on topics of interest to CCEFP’s industry supporters.
- Forty of the NCFP’s 120 papers were presented by CCEFP faculty and students.
- The CCEFP’s booth, with its hands-on displays drawn from several of its research projects, drew hundreds of visitors.
- The Center’s Poster Show, held in conjunction with IFPE, enabled current and potential industry supporters to talk one-on-one with student and faculty researchers.
