What is IFPE?

IFPE is the leading international exposition and technical conference dedicated to the integration of fluid power with other technologies for power transmission and motion control applications.

IFPE features over 500 exhibits, a renowned technical conference with over 100 presentations from industry and academic experts, and an international audience of nearly 30,000.

Held every three years, IFPE is co-located with CONEXPO-CON/AGG, an international gathering place for the construction industries showcasing the latest equipment, products, services and technologies. In 2008, this show featured over 2.28 million net square feet of exhibits and attracted more than 144,000 attendees from 130 countries. The 2011 IFPE and CONEXPO-CON/AGG events are expected to be even larger.

When and where was IFPE?

IFPE took place March 22-26, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

What was the CCEFP's role in IFPE?

The CCEFP participated at IFPE in several ways:

  • CCEFP students and faculty presented papers based on their research during the 52nd National Conference on Fluid Power (NCFP).
  • CCEFP faculty lead short courses for practicing engineers.
  • The CCEFP hosted its Annual Meeting in conjunction with the show.
  • The National Science Foundation (NSF) conducted its annual Site Visit of the CCEFP as a part of the CCEFP Annual Meeting.
