The NSF Center for Compact and Efficient Power (CCEFP) is partnering with the ASME/Bath 2013 Symposium on Fluid Power & Motion Control and will host the most innovative minds in fluid power at its upcoming annual conference in Sarasota, Florida, October 9 - 11, 2013.  Join us to learn the latest in creative solutions to overcome hydraulic and pneumatic technical challenges!  Participants include CCEFP students, research faculty and fluid power researchers and students from around the world.  Recommended attendees are fluid power engineers and technical leaders, human resource professionals, CEO's and marketing personnel.

Wednesday only, beginning at 12:00 pm, all ASME/Bath and CCEFP registrants may attend open events of either meeting.

Do I need to register to attend the CCEFP Annual Meeting?  It depends on how you answer this question:

Are you registered for the ASME/Bath Symposium?

If you answer yes:  You must register for the CCEFP Annual Meeting to attend CCEFP functions on Thursday and Friday (October 10 & 11)

If you answer no:  All attendees, including faculty, students, staff, Scientific Advisory Board members, and invited guests, must register to attend the CCEFP Annual Meeting on Wed, Thursday, and Friday. (October 9, 10, 11).

CCEFP Annual Meeting Resume Exchange Session:  2:00 - 4:30pm, Wednesday

The CCEFP will hold its annual Resume Exchange Session with representatives of the corporate members of the Center.  Representatives from industry -- Engineers, Operations Managers, Human Resources -- are eager to meet the next generation of fluid power engineers.  Register your interest, send us your resume and plan to sit down face-to-face with your future employer, project champion or engaged colleague in the industry.  

CCEFP Annual Meeting Poster Show and Competition: 6:00 - 9:00pm, Wednesday 

The CCEFP will hold its annual Poster Show and Competition on Wednesday, October 9.  All CCEFP research projects and testbeds are expected to have one poster and at least one presenter. Student presenters of ASME are invited to participate in the CCEFP Poster Show, on a limited basis.  All students interested in participating must register by September 20, 2013. Those students who are invited, but not required to participate, will have their participation in the poster show confirmed by email on or before September 27, 2013. The CCEFP will use its discretion to accept ASME submissions based on available space and anticipated audience.  Logistics:  CCEFP students should use the poster templates available under the Members Section of ccefp.org.  The competition criteria will be posted shortly and communicated to all participants.

Important Note: CCEFP Annual Meeting registrants (faculty, staff, students, SAB, invited speakers, and special guests) who have a $0.00 registration fee, must reserve a room, but CCEFP will pay directly for Wednesday and Thursday nights (Oct. 9 & 10).  If travel schedules dictate an arrival on Tuesday (October 8), CCEFP will pay directly for Tuesday evening also.  Please request the lowest available block rate when making your reservations.
