Research Experiences for Teachers

Summer Research Opportunities for Teachers
Each summer, the CCEFP research universities host six or more high school teachers for the summer. Teachers engage in CCEFP research projects and create curriculum to take back to their class. The goal of the Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) program is to expose teachers to cutting edge research and to encourage teachers to bring research inspired curriculum and inquiry approaches to their students. The RET program is structured and funded by the National Science Foundation. If you are a teacher, we hope that you will consider joining us this summer for a unique, stimulating experience that will contribute to your professional growth and will ultimately help your students.

The RET program is six weeks and takes place in the summer. Teachers are paid a stipend and receive funding for research supplies and materials. The CCEFP locations hosting RET teachers change each year.

For a complete description of the current RET program, including which locations are hosting teachers and how to apply, use the following link
