ABSTRACT
|
The small Urban Vehicle project (sUV) is a test bed to demonstrate the technologies developed within the center on a hydraulic hybrid passenger vehicle. This project aims to double the fuel efficiency of a small passenger car in an urban environment in comparison to conventional vehicles. The high power density of hydraulics enables the sUV to demonstrate high efficiency in combination with “fun to drive” performance. Other advantages of the hydraulic hybrid drive train include independent wheel torque capability and a low price tag when compared to other hybrid technologies. |
