The Science Museum of Minnesota (SMM), nationally recognized for presenting science in engaging ways, conducts workshops and creates publications on the design and construction of interactive exhibits for the science and technology center community.

In conjunction with the ERC, an interactive fluid power exhibit will be developed by SMM and installed in its Experiment Gallery, a highly popular collection of exhibits about core phenomena in physics, meteorology, chemistry, and mathematics. The exhibit will not only show the principles of fl uid power in a fun and informative manner, but will also highlight the exciting possibilities for fluid power of the future.

SMM’s Youth Science Center is home to teenage staffers who participate in museum activities including exhibition development, community outreach, science research, and exhibition interpretation. A diverse team of these teenagers will work with Center personnel to develop demonstrations and activities relevant to fluid power for use at the Museum and with school classes.
