Title: Integrated algorithms for optimal energy use in mobile fluid power systems.

Project Goal: This project seeks reduce the energy consumption of mobile fluid power systems via the development of intelligent energy generation, distribution and storage strategies.

What is the problem?
Mobile fluid power applications pose significant difficulties in maintaining responsiveness while improving efficiency. In particular, it’s not well understood how energy storage and regenerative braking can be most effectively leveraged.

What are we doing to solve the problem?
Intelligent energy management strategies will improve efficiency of mobile fluid power applications, such as bull dozers, excavators, hydraulic hybrid vehicles, etc.
